250 v fuse (with pigtail)

Hey everyone - a bare wire touched the hum guard at my gig tonite, blew the buss fuse. Any way at all to get out of having to replace this? I jumped the leads where the pigtails solder on & everything's good. Also, can I use the same fuse without pigtails? Thanks alot ! Eric
