I had installed PCLOS earlier and played with it some. It's supposed to be a rolling release distro, not QUITE up to the bleeding edge but very easy to work with. However, after updating, I noticed I couldn't install Tomboy for lack of dependencies, which is a deal-breaker for me. Then, on their forum, I spotted a reference to their 'testing' repository. That repos contained the missing dependencies and Tomboy installed.
But
I noticed that the latest PCLOS version of Tomboy is 0.6.3-1, while the latest stable version in Tomboy's homepage is 0.10.2... much later version. Some other packages were behind also. So I decided to do a full upgrade from 'testing' to see what I would get.
What I got was a broken PCLOS :^). Won't finish booting into X. O well! Try and learn! The forums SAID not to do that!!
So, reimstall, reupdate, enable 'testing' just long enough to get Tomboy, and then play with it some more. Eventually, I'll get back to where I was, only then with a stable system. PCLOS IS very stable... and very easy to wotk with.
