OK, I knew that :^>. But I used about the same thing directly on the cooker forum and that one didn't show. Google would have given me answers from the cooker, and also from anywhere else they might be found.
I'm good, now. Root login is OK, and I can call konqueror/dolphin/kwrite from the "Run Command" thingee on the desktop using kdesu, but I can only run kwrite from a root terminal; Klauncher and d-bus are broken for konqueror/dolphin from a root terminal. I can live with it, but I left a question/rant on the forum.
