Maybe a downside to Cooker, and maybe to the whole idea of rolling-release distros in general:
For a week, every day I've asked rpmdrake to search for updates and daily rpmdrake tells me there aren't any. Today, I tell it to upgrade my kernel from 2.6.27-0.rc7.5 to 2.6.27-0.rc8.2. It does so and then I ask it to check for updates again. YES!! WOW!! NOW it's got updates!!! 274 MBs of updates, including, I think, downloading kernel 2.6.27-0.rc8.2 again
.
That's almost equal to downloading the complete ISO of Cooker. Well, maybe only a third of the complete ISO, but still a LOT of download.
There's some new KDE stuff, though, so maybe it'll fix some of the remaining rough edges in KDE 4.1.2.
Also, when I have a bunch of updates I have to click 'Select All' on each category; it doesn't just "select all" the available updates

It says, "To start press any key." Where's the any key?
