Have you tried Opera? It frequently happens right after Opera or Firefox has just finished with an advertising site. I've noticed it on the N54 sites and also on Yahoo news. But, rpmdrake???
I'm using dillo this morning to see if I get the same pattern. I can't use dillo on JJ's board, though, unless I can figure out how for it to alow cookies there.
