Netbooks seemed to strike a chord in a depressing computer market, so now we will have NETTOPS to play around with. Maybe cheaper computers can hold their own in a bad market.
However... WindowsOS generally is designed to force computers toward the high end. So what will happen to Microsoft as lowend computers become all that people can afford? XP forever, whether MS likes it or not??? Win98 exhumed?
