I don't think the author is very well informed, since Mac OSX had some major updates a couple of days ago which were installed on my Mac, and I recall seeing a Java security update listed. In fact, my OSX Leopard was updated from 10.5 to 10.5.6 (I believe), and Snow Leopard is due out soon, too!
