Yeah, the feeble excuses. I had speed problems on cable too and they sent a techie over. He already had his mind made up on what he was going to do and paid not the slightest attention to me. I TOLD him that I'd already checked it out with my ohm meter and that there was an intermittent/dying problem OUTSIDE of my house (between house and pole).
He just barged on with his plans of hooking up a booster amp inside my house.
Well then suddenly, as he had his own meter connected to the pole line, the connection quit. He looked very shocked!~ It's exactly what I'd been trying to TELL him all along!
At that point he had no choice but to go outside, put his ladder to the pole and change the connecting nipple. It was totally green.
Sometime the Lord really DOES work his mysterious ways!~~
