Xandros Presto isn't something I'd get, but I'm glad it's out there! Presto is a stripped-down version of Xandros which boots in 10-12 seconds rather than the 2-3 minutes I understand it takes Vista or XP to boot. It installs alongside Windows and both run at the same time. Its strong feature is that if all you want to do is check emails, browse the web, do simple word processing, etc, Presto is ready far far sooner than Windows.
And, having both to choose from, and learning that Presto has apps to match Windows at almost every turn, one might discovder he didn't need Windows all that much. Heh heh!
So, I like it even though it's a proprietary Linux (which is SUPPOSED to be a Bad Thing, but maybe not always :^>).
