I feel sooooo stupid!
My compaq had lots of ports so I could have all my little toys connected at the same time..
this slimline doesn't have as many so I had to choose. I pulled the one I had labeled for my Dymo lablemaker and plugged in the one labled printer.
Well after trying a zilliion things today to try and get the printer to work it finally occured to me to follow the cord back to the source to see if it was connected on that end...and yep you guessed it...I had them labeled wrong!
The printer was never connected to the puter ....
It works fine now ;-)
