Looks like the beta is much more stable (so far :^>). It's been running about an hour now, all updates complete, and I've even done some configuring. I was impressed that it already seems to incorporate the features normally included in Virtualbox's guest additions, in that the cursor isn't captured in the VB window, I'm able to adjust the window's size and shape, and I can copy/paste between the host and the Mandriva guest. That's good.
One upsetting thing: Apparently I can no longer turn off cookies in Firefox3.5.2! That's a no-no for me, and I'll be downloading Opera quickly as I can.
But Mandriva's beta looks workable so far.
