Firefox 3.5.2 is a fast browser, but this newest version has what some might consider a fatal flaw: By default, you are unable to turn cookies off as was possible in all previous versions. In version 3.5.2, you go to edit > preferences > privacy and you get a screen saying that Firefox will remember your browsing... and KEEP ALL COOKIES. It does offer you an opportunity to remove individual cookies if you want. Following that link, you are offered a dialog which allows deletion of individual or all cookies, but no option to turn cookies off.
However, there's a drop-down button just above the info on cookies; by default, this drop-down is set to "Remember History", but it also carries options to "Never Remember History" and "Use Custom Settings for History". Punch "Use Custom..." (even though it doesn't say anything about cookies), and you will get a dialog offering the old-style page for controlling history AND COOKIES!!
So it isn't missing... it's just hidden; and it SHOULDN'T be: Cookie control is important for security and surfing speed.
