Just now doing the updates on the Mandriva 2010 RC1 install (In Virtualbox). There were only 6 packages to D/L so it should go quick.
It was the longest-loading CD image in history: 14 minutes until the cursor would answer the mouse and I could click 'Live Install'. Then, after it began, my cursor kept hanging and if I tried to move the window it left smears and lines behind; and, whenever I clicked on a button, it acted like the button was stuck. The actual install, though, proceeded quickly.
It was scary, though: It spent a lot of time accessing the internet with no supervision from me; I had to wonder what the heck it was doing because all the packages were coming from the ISO image.
But it's up now and the upgrade is complete. It wouldn't download an Nvidia driver because of a missing dependency (I don't need Nvidia anyway :^>). Still, though, the cursor is acting funny... I can't move the cursor with the mouse wheel, only drag a scroll bar, and it still clicks funny, like it had bubblegum in it (it doesn't). Strange. However, as before, the Virtualbox Guest Additions are already installed out of the box.
