I just completed a very odd update:
First it updated a few packages including rpmdrake; then it started updating a large bunch, 543 packages. So far, pretty usual: It frequently updates a few packages and then a wad. But, after downloading/installing the 543 packages... it started doing them again although the preparation/installation steps were virtually instantaneous. At the close, it notified me that 67 packages weren't installed because they had already been installed, and was that OK? :^) (I keep wondering what would happen if I clicked 'no' on questions like that??? :^> But, so far, I've been chicken!)
So I figured on reboot there would be lots of problems... but it rebooted fine and the best I can tell, everything is OK.
So Mandriva 2010 is still on my short list.
