Oh, I already have PC/OS, which is based on Ubuntu 8.04, an LTS version. I liked it because everything played out of the box, like Mint 7; but Mint is more modern. I don't know about Jaunty because I never installed it, nor will I install Ubu 9.10.
I can well see an LTS version for businesses or government, users like that, but I'd prefer something that is more up to date. Antix, for example, has been running for me on Debian testing now for seven or eight months, through an upgrade from version 8 to 8.2, without a hiccup. That's pretty stable! Another example: The GUI changes very slowly in PCLinuxOS but the packages sometimes beat Debian testing; PCLOS is very stable.
I've made up a page for Phoenix and probably will give it a shot. I do wish it had some documentation of its own. And it does seem from the forum that the better package manager (the iMagic manager) will be commercial and not free. CNR apparently still has a way to go.
Looks like I would try both Flamehawk and Sunbird, no?
