Posted by the rev The term rev is short for reverend, but it is only a nickname, that I have had for many years. This resulted when I returned to see my punk rock friends after my conversion, which was New Years Eve 84. As to the language, I can get into a lengthy convo with you over it, but the basic idea is this. This is the language that was used in the actual event so I use it. In the fiction writings I use words that fit into the story in a true understanding of todays world. I use this language as it is our language of today. Just like I wear clothing that is contemporary. I show my righteousness by the way I love people, staying true to my wife and family, living humbly and not buying into the consumerist culture of our day. I think Christians should worry more about the poor, and marginalized and less about whether we say poo or shit. I believe Jesus would have cussed, and that Paul did cuss in scripture. I pastor a house church in Footscray Australia, I have been pastoring many years, in different churches. I have been liscensed for ministry by two denominations, Open Bible Standard Churches, and the Conservative Baptist Church through New Song church in San Dimas.
