Sideliner is wrong. EA handled WL in the first game. EA owned both sides of the ball. With a final score of 34-8, it is hard to argue that WL was even in the game. And yes, I know that EA threw a hail mary on the last play to go 70 yds for their final TD.
East Austin is also wrong. The roughing the passer call was obvious. The illegal contact was also obvious. Yes, the ball was uncatchable, however that is irrelevant for an illegal contact call. Plus, had the refs not flagged WL 6 times for alleged holding, WL may have scored 2 or 3 times in the first half. EA had no answer for the WL power run game. The only thing that stopped the WL momentum was some very questionable holding calls.
EA was hands down the better team in the first match up. The second match up was pretty close but WL definitely played the better game and deserved to win. And now what can you say, WL is the state champion. Hard to argue their what they've accomplished since beating EA.
