A bit more information....
For the new series of the award winning Wife Swap we are looking for families who can show what it’s like when one or more member is passionate about collecting something, like Red Dwarf memorabilia. We want to see if the whole family embraces the collector’s hobby, how important it is to build up the collection, make swaps, attend conventions and the excitement of finding an elusive item!
The programme involves the mothers from two different families swapping places for a week to experience life in another household, and hopefully learn about themselves and each other in the process. After eight series of Wife Swap, we are keen to explore different issues and types of families and in doing so are widening our search for potential contributors. Channel 4 are very keen that the new series be about learning and resolution. Due to the nature of the format children in the home would need to be over the age of 2.
The swap takes place over 8 days, and there is a filming day each side of this period - to film with the family as a whole on the first day and a table meeting at the end when both couples discuss what they have learnt. A small and friendly production crew film in the house and there will be one member of the team living with each wife in the house, so they will always have a member of the production at hand.
