Living in LBI I know of all the places you speak of. When you first come on the island, the business you speak of is a hotel/restaurant called the quarter deck inn.... they have many washingtonias and a few other types of tropical plants. If you notice this year their tropical landscape is much more toned down, as they probably realize how expensive it is to replace everything year after year. The other place is the Sea Shell motel/night club. Again, they replace their palms yearly. I always wonder why none of theese places have ever used the cold hardy species we all know, especially the windmill palm?
If you come on the island and make a right (southbound) on the main blvd., where is the trachy you speak of? I would love to see it.
I live in Beach Haven, just south of the town, and will post pics of my tropicals as soon as I get the chance.

Posting Photos
In order to post photos, you must first upload the photos onto the internet. You need to either have your own web space to do this, or get a free subscription to Photobucket.com or Webshots.com or a photo service like that, or Wunderground.com weather site, and now Google.com has this also through gmail accounts. So upload the photo to the internet, then go to it and right or left click on it (ctrl + click on a Mac) to open it in a new window. Copy the address of where the photo is located on the internet, and paste it into the "Optional Image URL" box on your post before you post it. You may use the "preview" key to see if the photo is loaded and the address copied correctly. You can post multiple messages by typing img src="photoaddresshere" you must surround this by "<" and ">" Post any questions on how to put photos up on the forum and we will help you.
