Washington DC HSA Bus Trip Photos

Here are the photos from the bus trip to Washington DC this past Saturday. It was a very nice day and a nice trip, I had some fun. Here is the view from my front seat on the bus looking over the Delaware Memorial Bridge. First stop, US Capital Mall where there are some great gardens. Next stop Pink Hair Grass, Muhlenbergia capillaris Sabal minor at the US Botanical Garden, they actually look like they took a hit last winter and are not as robust as they were Fiber banana flowering Plectranthus containers in full bloom Trachycarpus wagnerius in a protected outdoor courtyard, this plant is looking pretty good! Sabal etonia in the protected outdoor courtyard Needle Palm doing quite well Western Yuccas looking fantastic Venus Fly Trap container, what a great use for this plant! Desert room Cycas circinalis from India collected in 1842 and in this spot for quite some time! The guide explained how they were cut in half and moved and the tops rooted at their other facility. Nice tall ceilings! Tropical wetlands complete with mist Closeup, probably Euphorbia but I didn't catch the tag View of the US Botanical garden from the National Garden. Pomegranite in full fruit National Garden with a view of the Museum of the American Indian, where incidentally they have an amazing food court of all native American foods. Gordonia in the National Garden Sabal minor in the National Garden Another view of the National Garden Needle Palms at the gates on the corner of 3rd Street outside of the National Garden, they took quite a hit their first year after planting.

Posting Photos
In order to post photos, you must first upload the photos onto the internet. You need to either have your own web space to do this, or get a free subscription to Photobucket.com or Webshots.com or a photo service like that, or Wunderground.com weather site, and now Google.com has this also through gmail accounts. So upload the photo to the internet, then go to it and right or left click on it (ctrl + click on a Mac) to open it in a new window. Copy the address of where the photo is located on the internet, and paste it into the "Optional Image URL" box on your post before you post it. You may use the "preview" key to see if the photo is loaded and the address copied correctly. You can post multiple messages by typing img src="photoaddresshere" you must surround this by "<" and ">" Post any questions on how to put photos up on the forum and we will help you.
