What I do Mulch Man, is put them on a shelf in the heated greenhouse for a few weeks and let the roots and green part on the top dry out, then I clean off the roots and any non bulb green tops so that I have a regular bulb (that looks like the elephant foot). Then its best to put them somewhere cool and dark, you can put them in peat moss to prevent too much moisture loss I've just put them in baskets in the past without peat moss and they have done alright. The thing is the smaller the bulbs are the more delicate they are. Huge bulbs I've stored on the shelf over the winter and that was fine but small ones can shrivel up and die if they are not cared for and protected. There is a fine line between keeping them too moist and rotting and being too dry. If this is a problem for you then I'd suggest using slightly (very slightly) moist peat moss to store the bulbs in. I will dig around my photos and see if I can find some example pictures.

In order to post photos, you must first upload the photos onto the internet. You need to either have your own web space to do this, or get a free subscription to Photobucket.com or Webshots.com or a photo service like that, or Wunderground.com weather site, and now Google.com has this also through gmail accounts.
