I would hang onto your money for a while, seems there has been a bit of infighting between rival motor trade bodies as to which scheme is best and how to implement The Kite mark could be the way to go, last i read in a trade mag, was that only 13 had signed up. At around £700 to £800 a year to keep it up to date, not sure they will get many takers, especially the smaller Independents Government Licensing of Garages or Techs is the way to go......self regulation is a non starter. Only the bigger garages can afford all the red tape, so gives them an unfair advantage Ask any car owner if they have heard of a KITE mark approved garage or what it means......blank looks i expect Site tight Peter PS:The MOT computerisation was enough for some, lets not burden them more with a heavy duty (and costly) approval scheme
