I've never paid a penny for tools insurance in 24 years mainly because of restrictions on tools in vans. I would be really sick if I got robbed tomorrow but have saved 24 years premiums--I now just unload the scanners/computers at night. I once had the misfortune to meet someone who broke into garages and the way they manage to sleep at night (in between thieving) is by believing the damage they do "is all covered by insurance anyway"!!
