As I understand it this will take a few years of lobbying at Brussels,and I am retired then anyway 
Unless Gordon Brown has a different idea 
Looking at it cynically I think online petitions just make it easier for politicians and policy makers to delete the file.Improves their carbon footprint and saves all that shredding.
This RtR campaign is being backed by big money. There is not just our livelihoods at stake but the whole after market industry.When these guys get involved with their muscle they usually win out.
Seriously, I am not over concerned. I will watch developments with interest but I think it may be a storm in a teacup.
