This in my opinion is just another money making scheme that adds to customer confusion.
But this one seems very unfair on the independent and dealer garages also. We all know how some customers tend to try it on, saying that dent in my car wasn't there when I brought it in etc etc.
If went to arbitration an £800 body repair bill would cost the customer £60 and the garage paint & materials labour and £440 on top of that, sounds like a bomb waiting to go off if you ask me.
