Hi Peter.
A horrifying story there is no doubt.
As professionals I doubt we would be let off so lightly! Although knowing that your actions have cause another's death is hardly being let off lightly!
At the moment there is no means for controlling how work on cars is carried out, by whom and to what standards (as we well know from the protracted discussions here).
