Deliberate venting is illegal, But in India just like China they will wriggle out by saying it doesn't apply to them because they are a developing country and in any case who will enforce it. 
The biggest problem is viewers will consider this an O.K practice here with no knowledge or regard of any legal or environmental implications.
We go on courses get qualifications jump through all the hoops spending loads and a TV program turns it into an insignificant giggle.
