Hi all, No I didn't think for one minute I was the only person this had happened to, just wanted to vent some anger. A couple of times in the past I have sent a bill for a callout charge, one guy in particular rang me when I was halfway there and said a mate of his had just come round and he'd fixed it, I sent him a bill for £40 not expecting him to pay of course, but after a moan he sent me a cheque. I've also had several jobs where nobody's in but after looking round you soon realise that asking them for a callout charge is just wasting your time, better than doing the job and not getting paid. Also I have to take a chance accepting cheques sometimes as most peoples cheque guarantee card is only good for £100, but after nearly three years working for myself I've only had three cheques bounce and two of them were from a friend of ours, well were a friend of ours! Regards, Derek
