I suppose it means we will buy less from our Ford parts supplier. Our nearest dealer seems to have virtually folded up. They've condensed from 2 large locations into one not much bigger than mine. They used to have a large parts dept with many vans. They've now got one guy in parts who basically doesn't have time to answer the 'phone. Their old premises across the road is now occupied by a large motorcycle dealer chain. In terms of discounts, I just pass on the extra cost to the customer, our labour rate is roughly 60% of most main dealer rates and we are usually still competitive on total cost.
