Been using Autowork and Autocat for several years now. great for the smaller companys, we are a fast fit center and Autowork is a hard program to get to work properly, it is crucial that we offer the best price and quality to our customers, our phones are contantly ringing all day so we need to make sure products are priced correctly and alternatives and supercessions are set correctly, this is impossible without extensive data manipulation, I have actually wrote my own programs to sort and import into Autowork, We are also linked to Andrew Pages for online stock checking and ordering and our cost prices and any new products are also uploaded. Although this keeps it uptodate, manipulation is still required to avoid overwriting existing data. The online ordering takes too long, much quicker to just pickup the phone.
Support and Maintanance, this is supposed to include any development you may need, this never happens and if it does, they never tell you. updates are regular but you never get to know about any enhancements until you trip over it.
I think there customer base is too big now, hence the lack of personal care.
On the whole not a bad program, lots of features, some of which will never be used, good user interface.
I still come accross problems,, but have to accept it as it is now.
    Chris
