    Hi John,
The other thing that winds me up is when we pay all this money and then the information is wrong.
Got called yesterday to a trade customer of mine, a car dealer who had a Ford Scorpio 2.9 M reg which wouldn't run following a steam cleaning. He'd already got other people involved and had replaced the fuse boxes, yes both of them!, and the cat ? because someone else said thats what it would be, so I started with the ECU checking the feeds and earths. According to Autodata PIN DATA the battery feed should be pin 1 and pin 60 an earth, so on finding no feed to pin 1 I was just about to apply a direct feed when I found that in fact the pins were reversed and pin 1 was earth and pin 60 the live feed. The actual fault with the car was nothing more than wet plugs and after cleaning them up the car burst into life but I could have spent hours messing about checking ECU pins and not being sure what should be on them!
    Derek
