Hi AllHave a look at the link below, a story that appeared on AutoWired in the week about Manufacturers Technical Info now being more available due to the relaxing of the block exemption rules
This claim was made by one of the leading Motor Trade bodies, but i find this story a little misleading. Are they implying that the technical information is more readily available to Independent Garages or just them!!. I would think that a Motor Trade body would probably have more influence over obtaining info than the likes of use small Independents
It states:
"I can go straight to printed literature, a dedicated phone help lines, or a manufacturers' website or to get the specialist information needed to answer the members query"
But it makes no mention of the £1:00 a minute Help lines or 3,000 Euro a year websites which we are expected to use, or have use Independents got to go through a Motor Trade body to get the info we require
Perhaps the Motor Trade bodies could fight on our behalf to get us the same freedom of access
