Hello Steve. Firstly, I would look back at your records to see which make of belt you fitted... Gates, Firstline..FAI, QH etc... etc.. as some of them offer different warranties. I agree with Tony.. if the application catalogue supplement was not available when your belt was delivered by the factor.. you can't be held liable for the failure. Secondly.. if your invoice was made out to the previous owner of the car, I'm pretty sure that the warranty isn't transferable?? It's been a while since I was factoring.. so warranty issues on belts may have changed. P.S. Was the 'Engineer' an independent assessor or one appointed by the belt manufacturer? Regards Andy
