Thanks chaps. I never open anything I'm not pretty sure about and I've seen enough to know how devious they can be. As well as Norton I also have a hardware firewall to put the hackers off. Call me parannoid but did you see how long a completely unprotected PC lasted when put online on the BBC's "Click On line" programme? 32 seconds I think it was! And within a few minutes it was emailing viruses around the world.
You're right about the preview pane John, that's a daft thing. Your email is automatically opened as it arrives.
