Hi I know the non MOT trade aren't going to like this, but with computerisation I fail to see how anyone can carry out a full MOT for £20-00 and still make the MOT bay pay. We have applied the full VOSA guidelines on tests and retests, we try to encourage retail to leave for repair, and trade to check over before submission, we have full book of MOT's (8 to 10 per day) for about a week to 10 days ahead. VOSA believe there will be a shake down of testing stations and many will drop out, if that's the case I'd be very inclined to say "no trade" based on the fact why should you do a trade MOT when you can fill the slot with retail?
