We have found a couple of snags with servicing vehicles under warranty. Firstly, we sometimes find problems that need to be addressed via a warranty claim such as oil leaks etc. Some customers, I'm sure, go away thinking that they should have gone to the dealer to save two trips to the garage. The other problem is with vehicles that may get updates at the first service, to known faults. Although not many of you work on bikes, it's not uncommon for BMW bike dealers to do an ECU upgrade at the 1st and sometimes 2nd service. An independent couldn't do this.
