    Tyre Changer Recommendations Archived Message

    Hi,

We are looking to replace our existing Ravaglioli tyre changer. This is only an entry level machine which is now a few years old now, but we are finding it much harder to fit lower profile tyres on big rims.

Whilst tyres are an extra sideline to our normal MOT & servicing work, it does bring in useful extra revenue, so feel it would be worth the investment in a more capable machine.

Does anyone have any suitable recommendations of makes / models that they have?

We were thinking either a Hoffman Monty 3300, Hoffman Megamount 701 or a Wheelforce WF38ti. These all have the extra pneumatic helping arms for the very stiff low profile tyres.

We have discounted Tecalemit due to the poor quality of their ramps which we have first hand experience of.

    Cheers

    Sean.
