Staff - Looking at employing a qualified technician # Posted by Liam Hall on June 19, 2012, 12:22 pm Message modified by board administrator June 20, 2012, 1:01 pm Hi all. I am currently looking at employing a qualified technician, and was just after some advice from those of you that already employ, where do you usually advertise the position and generally for a tech with experience where do you start with wages? Obviously I know there will be regional differences. I am in south Leicester. Thanks in advance for any input. Liam.

Ian Whitmore I used a few methods to find staff before, General word of mouth, ie ask your local suppliers & their van drivers if they know of anyone. Tell every one you know in the motor trade you are looking, word soon gets around. Also had some success with Gumtree, its free so worth a go anyway. Plenty of very quiet garages so they must be laying people off. Cant help on the wages front as its very regional.
