Floods again! Couple of years ago, I was called to a non starting 4 year old Primera. Customers were a bunch of cowboys who had bought a couple of salvage cars from an internet site. They assured me that the car had been running, but was now a non starter.Sucker! Opened the drivers door and the stench was horrific! They told me that it had been valeted and didn't smell so bad now. Spent an hour messsing about with it, took ECU out, drowned. No way it had run. No chance of repair, no chance of me being paid. I did a runner! Next day, I did nothing but do runners, combined with vomiting! Lost over a weeks work and wages, all for nothing. Insurance Companies should ensure these sewage laden wrecks are crushed and not allow them to go to salvage auctions. No doubt they will be turning up again soon, bought by someone trying to make a fast buck. Steer clear, lads!

Couldn’t agree more. A lad that used to work for me who is now mobile got sucked into a BMW. Engine out for rebuild but then wouldn’t start due to drowned ECU turned into his worst nightmare.
