Hi Barry,following on from Tony's thought I had a 98 fiesta before with an intermittant non start problem which turned out to be a poor earth crimp connection in the loom approx 8-10 inchs from the engine ECU connector.There was one earth wire in and four out, three to the ECU and one to the diagnostic socket.
