Fiesta 1.1 G6A engine CFI - Poor idlecontrol on cold start, stalls, hunts when warm Archived Message

Tried checking in archives, cant find exact match to symptoms.

Poor idle controll on cold start (no fast idle, stalls). When warm, sometimes ok at idle, sometimes goes rich and hunts.

Scoped MAP. CPS. checked CTS ATS. TPS *seems* ok (but... See later!)

What appears to be happening is that every now and then at idle *extra* injector pulses are occruring making it rich (listning to the injector you get a chattering noise superimposed on the regular tick tick tick IYSWIM)

If the TPS is disconnected this problem stops, but, of course, leaving the TPS disconnected causes other problems. I am tempted to replace TPS but am wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this.
