Posted by Terea I've been having new/different symptoms for 2 wks. Nausea, no appetite. I nibble at crackers & can scarf sweets, with no weight gain. I've lost 8 lbs. in 2 wks. Sweats. SWEATS. Horrible, drenching, round the clock sweats. I live near the ocean near San Diego. The weather is pleasant- even cool, rarely humid. No matter what, I can count on these horrible drenching episodes that start with me feeling heat in my face, then I become deep red as if badly sunburned. I've had full hysterectomy & use HRT, & these sweats are unlike any hot flash I've ever had. They're intense, cause my heart to beat harder/faster. They cover my whole body. Simply awful. I've had pitting edema, especially in lower legs/feet for 19 months. Take Lasix, 40 mg w/potassium supplements daily. The only thing to ever take it away is staying off my feet for several days. I have no edema right now. I've been experiencing more & more "things" going wrong with my body recently that I often think I'm a hypochondriac. My neighbor "predicted" my gallbladder was the culprit for the nausea & sweats. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'm afraid of these new symptoms, perhaps because they're so intense, & I'm seeking any advice someone might have.

I've had HCV since surgery in 1989. Did the Intron-A/Ribavirin protocol-11 months, ending June 1999. neg HCV if I continue the regimen, but the side effects aren't worth the trade-off. I've been diagnosed w/fibro, Raynaud's syndrome, & I forget what else right now.
I'll see my primary this week, but he'll suggest I talk with my hepatologist, which will take 3-4 wks. All feedback is welcomed. Thanks- terea
