There are rumors and speculations floating around here at The Watchers Counsil as well as some factual based info that Rupert Giles, former Watcher will be joining the folk/rock group, The Vetivers.
Rumor has it that Rupert will be playing guitar and singing as well as doing some writing with the boys. Now that Rupert is no longer a Watcher and that his recent business, The Magic Box has been destroyed he has plenty of free time at hand.
Rupert has made a couple of different apperances at a coffee shop in Sunnydale and has sang on the very same stage as Cibo Mato and The Breeders at the famous club, The Bronze. Rupert has also played in a punk-rock band in the past.
Rupert is currently living in England but it has been rumored that Rupert is willing to relocate to join such an amazing group. When we got a chance to speak with Rupert breifly we asked Rupert about the recent speculations and rumors and Rupert responded with this; "There is a possibility that I might be working with The Vetivers but nothing is set in stone." Rupert also stated; "I feel a little odd about the possibility of joining The Vetivers due to my age, considering the fact that I am a lot older than the other boys but I feel that if Jimmy March can play with The Veitvers at his old age that I should have no problem fitting in."
Rumors have also been popping up that Rupert's friend Emily Price will be singing a duo with him on a new tune that Rupert has possibly co-written with Vetivers drummer, Ben Champion. When asked about the duet Emily responded; "We have been working on a tune together and I can't wait to perform with Giles in a live situation and I hope we can get the tune recorded with The Vetivers." Emily also stated this; "Rupert and I have a good freindly relationship and he is a wonderful musician."
Wheather or not some of these rumors about old Ripper are in fact true remains somewhat of a mystery for now but we here at The Watchers Council are taking strong actions to find out more about the recent speculations about the Kansas based pop-jangle trio and former Watcher.
