Posted by Andy Mayhew on 9/25/2002, 9:56 am I do think that by publishing the Chairman's comments I've allowed members to get a better idea of what's been going on within the Committee. btw The first I knew about any problems with the Slugain project was about a week before I completed the March 02 Newsletter. Just because I'm Newsletter Editor doesn't mean anyone tells me anything! It's hard enough getting anyone to tell me workpary dates! Hopefully this will change when we finally get a new General Secretary.
I fully expected this criticism and in fact am surprised that I haven't received more. But I also believe that in the long run the Chairman's comments will be seen to have done more good for the Association than harm. Time will tell if I'm right or wrong.
Kenny, Dave and anyone else - can I suggest that you send your concerns about the last Newsletter, and suggestions for the future, to the new Chairman (once elected) ? I think you will find you are listened to this time.
