Re: Happy Rainy Thursday
Good morning Whackos all over the world. Finally got to sleep in late this morning. It seems as if we're all involved with doctors lately. I'm getting more heart and vein tests at 1:30. Maybe one day I'll hear something back from all this. CL, I know about the moving slow business. I'm moving slower myself and I had a 90-year-old with me yesterday while I did some shopping. She had a great time at the stores we visited but it took about 20 minutes for her to get out of my car each time. Clem, if I were you guys, I'd let the VA fix the problem even if you have to wait. Just annoy the hec out of them until they respond. That's what Stan had to do and he ended up with free hearing aids and even a disability check (small though it may be) each month for his hearing loss. Even so-called simple surgeries can cost into the hundreds of thousands of dollars these day if you go out of pocket. Hey, if your son is a veteran, can't he just call Trump and get it fixed? That's what Trump said - he said he'd set up a special phone just for veterans directly to his desk. I never heard anything about that being done, though, and from what I hear the service to our vets is still pretty lousy. Alvin is probably the expert on that. Well, I think I've covered all the weak and frail folks. Bung, how are you doing in all this rain? I'm giving you a pass on bush hogging our pasture until the rain gets out of here and it dries out a little. Dogs are getting very restless. They can look out the sliding glass door or the windows and see rabbits munching away in the grass and we won't let them out to chase them because of the rain. These dogs have flowing skirts and when they get wet it takes forever to get them dry. When we walk them we keep them in the driveway so just their feet get wet but they don't play by the same rules when they walk themselves. Well, gotta go make myself beautiful for the doctors. Yawl have a nice day and everybody try to stay well.
