Democrats haven't fought very hard against Bush. They've pretty much rubber stamped his policies as much as Republicans. The people are left with no real representation in government. If some semblance of democracy is to make a comeback, it is the American people like you amd me who must pressure officials to do their job, to follow up on the wishes and interests expressed in the elections. Democrats were not elected to pacify the public with raises in the minimum wage and other token changes while otherwise continuing business as usual.
