Yes, we share the scars with men of every generation as far back as time goes. It has, as they say, always been so. I understand your position but look at it a little differently. I dont believe a passive creature can really attain intelligence. Why bother? Generally, the predator must be smarter than the pray and certainly more aggressive. At least in the higher animals. An unintended consequence of our intelligence was the conscience.
How we will resolve this conflict in our nature I dont know but in this context war is a symptom not the disease. I think humanity stands on the brink of success or failure. So to me its important that whoever is in the Whitehouse has as close a grip on reality as possible. Not a soul committed to a single cause. Be it Dem or Repub I dont care. Either way, we both want the same thing.
