Posted by Sabrina Goodbye to 'Ghosts' Old Town Trolley Tours has laid its once-popular Ghosts & Gravestones tour to rest. After six years, operators dropped the tour, which highlighted area cemeteries and stopped at three reportedly "haunted" houses, where costumed characters of a bygone era greeted visitors. Lorin Stewart, the firm's general manager, says interest in the nightly sojourn had tapered off to the extent that, on some evenings, no tickets were sold. Sabrina Marie Johnson is such a fan of the tour that she is circulating a petition to bring it back. She has over 30 signatures. The Old Town Trolley's recorded message still carries a promo for "Ghosts & Gravestones," but Stewart says it's only because they are awaiting a replacement tape. He has no plans to resurrect "Ghosts." Jeez, reading that makes it seems so official now. It's like once something is in the paper, it's for real, not just a rumor. I'm still quite upset over the tour closing down, and I know in my heart the petition won't help get it back. It just shows that there are a lot of people who do want it back. Oh, and the signatures are now over 40! By the way, I've been serious about this whole thing all along. If, God forbid, any of the San Diego museums were in danger of closing down like this, there'd be a second petition for it in the works. I'd guarantee it! Sabrina

Holy cow!
Diane Bell from the San Diego Union Tribune did an article about Ghosts & Gravestones and she mentioned me! I didn't think she would put my name in the paper! I'm too unimportant to deserve it! The article was in December 3rd's issue. This is what she wrote:
