Posted by Cherubim I went on their walking tours too, the one in the gaslamp goes inside a couple of places and is only $10! The one in old town gives you a discount ticket for the Whaley House too. They are going to have a ghost hunt and I can hardly wait. I am on the waiting list! Do you have any plans for a ghost hunt? Where? Can other people go? What will you bring to check for ghosts? I’m not saying your tour isn’t worthwhile, but it isn’t a ghost tour or a history tour really, but it is entertainment. I just don’t think you should be advertising on a board that is supposed to discuss the Whaley House paranormal stuff. Just my 2 cents.

Hi David;
First let me say it is a pity no one seems to come here any more. I was just browsing through my old haunts and saw this. I am not usually a confrontational person, but I find it distasteful at least, that you are using this board as an advertising ploy. I have been on your tour and the other limo tour too. I must say there is a BIG difference! You are very...charismatic(?) shall we say, when you give the tour, but I used to go on the Ghosts and Gravestones tour at least once a year and yours is exactly that tour, so no big deal, no difference. And well, your "cleverly themed Ghost Bus" is a school bus with rubber bats. It really doesn't stack up to a limo or even a limo bus. I am not trying to be cruel, but I thought people on the sites like this were trying to discuss fun times learning new things and going inside what you call "touring museums" (not all are museums) to look and feel ghostly things and paranormal stuff for ourselves. We get to do that on the other tour. It was such a blast and we got some great pictures too! Since yours is only what, 90 minutes, I think and theirs is 3 hours and you cost about the same, it is sort of a no-brainer. They tell so many more stories and go so many places and there are some things you get wrong, so I just chalk it up to well it is entertainment, don’t take it too seriously, but if I really want to know what really happened and happens, I’m sorry, I choose them.

: Hi there,
: My name s David and I own and operate
: Haunted San Diego Tours.
: RE: The original message, allow me to invite
: you to experience our tour for yourself, it
: is quite enjoyable and our guest feedback
: has been tremedous.
: Yes, myself and my associates were the
: nucleus of the last (and very best) version
: of Old Town Trolley's Ghost and Gravestones
: tour. But another ghost tour also has ex-G&G
: cast members from long ago and it can get
: confusing out there. Yes, you could just
: visit the Whaly House Museum a one poster
: here suggests, yet you'd be missing out on
: the other rich ad colorful history of many
: other San Diego locations which our tours
: visit.
: Also Haunted San Diego Tours offers a
: discounted Whaley House Admission for guests
: of our tour. Granted and correct, we do not
: (nor do we desire to) enter The Whaley House
: or any other 'Haunted' location on our tour
: and for good reason. We do not want to be
: known as a museum tour, we wisely leave
: 'touring museums' to the individual. We are
: however a Historic Ghost Story Tour of San
: Diego, and Ghost Stories are the corner
: stone of our tour. No one tells them like we
: do. We also transport our guests to these
: locations aboard our cleverly themed Ghost
: Bus, only addding to your ghostly
: experience.
: To wind this all up, thank you for noticing
: and mentioning that Haunted San Diego's Tour
: flyer is distributed through the Whaley
: House museum shop. We are very proud of that
: and we think it speaks volumes that they
: support our tour in this manner.
: For further information please feel free to
: call our office 1-877-6-Haunted and/or visit

: There's actually several different night
: tours
: that pass by the Whaley House. The newest
: tour is the Haunted San Diego which runs
: somewhat similiar to the old Ghosts &
: Gravestone tour. The second is a Walking
: Ghost Tour which mainly focuses on Old Town
: hauntings. The last is a limo tour that can
: take you to several different haunting spots
: which may or may not include the Whaley
: House. Unfortunately none of these specific
: tours actually go inside the Whaley House.
: The Whaley House Museum now has a nighttime
: general admission that costs a fraction of
: these other tours. If you're looking for a
: more extensive tour of hauntings, try any of
: the three. If you're interested in just the
: Whaley House, my suggestion is just head
: there.

: Welcome to the board! I have not yet toured
: the new one featured at the Whaley House
: (funds prevent me from getting much
: entertainment these days! And you'd think
: that a fansite like this one, they could cut
: a guy a discount!) :-)
:
: Although if he was from the previous tour,
: that is a good sign. That way, he's already
: familiar with the content of the tour!

: Hi. I'm new to this board, and I want to ask
: a
: question. I was down at the Whaley House
: the other day and picked up a flier for
: Haunted San Diego Tours. The lady at the
: shop where you buy tickets said it was new
: and the guy running the tour used to work
: for Ghost and Gravestones. She didn't know
: if was any good or not. What I want to ask
: is has anyone been on the tour and is it
: worth it. There website looks pretty good
: it's www.hauntedsandiegotours.com. Well I
: guess that's all. Thanks.
