Posted by Joe Jones On my last visit, I was told that camera tripods are no longer allowed inside. I know that we live in "The Land of Lawyers" but come on! A tripod?!? As an adult of 47, I know that I can safely operate a camera on a tripod without endangering any of the visitors. I would like to know what I must do in order to be allowed to use a tripod. i cold provide my own independent insurance covering any potential damage and naming the Whaley House and SOHO as co-insured parties if necessary. I like to take photos without flash, as photos with natural lighting produce far more interesting results. I suppose some bozo tripped over a tripod and created the "rule" about not allowing tripods in the house, but it is a shame that ALL must suffer because of the idiocy of one individual.

I have visited the Whaley House several times. I am never disappointed. I take photos, both inside and out, and have also recorded for EVP with interesting results.
